Online Counselling Information

We want you to know the scope, privacy conditions, technical responsibilities and limits of online sessions before you begin.

Online counselling is not an emergency service. In case of urgent risk, call 112 or contact the emergency services where you are.

1. Suitability assessment

Whether online sessions suit your needs, age, location and safety conditions is assessed in a preliminary conversation. If needed, an in-person session or referral to another institution may be suggested.

2. Platform and connection

The platform and link are shared through a secure channel before the appointment. A stable internet connection, working camera/microphone and an up-to-date device are the participant's responsibility.

If there is a technical interruption, an alternative channel, rescheduling or continuation method is agreed. The exact platform, fee, payment and cancellation terms are confirmed in writing before the appointment.

3. A private setting

  • Join from a private space where you will not be interrupted.
  • Use headphones; avoid shared devices and open wireless networks.
  • Do not record audio, video or screen without the parties' clear knowledge and permission.
  • Do not share the session link with third parties.

4. Recording and personal data

Recording sessions is not standard practice. If a recording is ever needed, its purpose, duration, access and deletion method are explained in advance and no recording is made without separate permission.

5. Sessions with children and adolescents

Informing the parent/legal guardian, consent, the session setting and emergency contacts are agreed in advance with regard to the child's best interests. The limits of confidentiality are explained in a way suited to age and development.

6. Emergencies and location

For safety planning, the specialist may ask at the start of the session which city/country you are in and an emergency contact. In emergencies, local health and safety services are the primary point of contact.

7. Appointments and cancellation

Appointments are confirmed via 0544 134 29 05 or our centre's WhatsApp line. Session length, fee, payment method, rescheduling and cancellation terms are shared with you before confirmation.
